no! unless the doctor has told you he has dental/vision issues. i was going to take my then 2-yr old to the dentist last spring then covid happened. he's 3 now, just had his 3-yr checkup and pediatrician said he's fine. i use an electric kid's toothbrush and vegan fluoride toothpaste on his teeth every night in bed (so we don't rinse but the dr, who has 4-yr old twins herself, says she does the same w hers too). fluoride can be toxic but only in super large amounts, so as long as it's a teeny tiny bit it's fine and not rinsing actually helps it stay on the teeth to prevent rot and cavities. long explanation but something i wish i didnt stress about ontop of the 374791 things you have to stress about w a newborn :)
I would because it’s 2020 and ya never know. Rather safe than broke.
The cost of not having insurance god forbid something we’re wrong is higher than the few dollars a month it costs to have dental and eye coverage.
I added my daughter to dental when she was 2. I haven’t added her to vision, (she’s 4 now) but did take her to get checked this year because she was saying she couldn’t see. Turns out, she just didn’t want to share books with her sister! Cost was $150 for the exam so not a huge amount for mom’s peace of mind. Vision is 20/20 so I don’t think I’ll add her in 2021 either.
Same as above. I just had medical on my daughter until she was 2. Any of the (god forbid) things that you would need to seek medical treatment for at this age would be covered under medical.
Some kids get their teeth quicker than others so if there’s any accidents with their teeth I’d feel safer with dental insurance
