Do managers read there employees slack conversations with other people? I don’t even know if that something you can do on slack?

I am the partner leading our local office lgbt group. What should I be doing to engage more with our people during this time? Zoom once a month only goes so far I think but I have run out of other ideas.

How are you teaching middle or high school chorus in the fully virtual realm? I’m looking for new ideas and techniques. I hate that my choirs can only sing on Zoom with everyone muted...that’s the opposite of choral singing :-(

I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I am having discussions with my teachers on ways that I can better support them and the students when remote.

I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! I could retire (34 yrs), but just don’t want to because I love what I do! Feeling like my students aren’t getting what they should because I am struggling with Zoom, Microsoft, safe YouTube, bitmoji, embedding, downloads, editing, etc. Anyone else feeling this way?

I have an interview for a Principal Renewals Manager role at Slack/Salesforce this Wednesday and I was hoping for some advice on how I can wow them? IEP, 504, and those without internet will return in-person next week while rest of students remain remote. Regular Ed teachers may have students (mild Learning Disabled kiddos) in their room while teaching. They are saying it’s a liability issue if they have one student in the room with them, even though teaching other via Zoom. Thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

Has anyone seen any unique places to find UX portfolios or post jobs other than the usual suspects?
Some UX Slack channels were doing well for a while but I definitely don’t see as much traction there. Meetups obviously came and went. Even the portfolio sites like Dribbble and Behance don’t seem that same.

Came back to school in August with a cruise ship still sitting on my stage. We walked away from Anything Goes the day after the sitzprobe because of the quarantine. Still taking the wind out of my sails.
