No.
Totally disagree. All credit cards are linked to your social. Don't pay it for a couple of months and see what happens 😉
@D1 It definitely doesn't. When I switched firms there was a balance, didn't get paid for months. When I called Amex they confirmed that corporate cards don't get attached to you as a person, it will never show up on your credit report or score.
Recoveries will be theough you! It is your card, not Deloitte's! I had a case like that in my project a couple months back. And I can guarantee it will affect his credit score!
It doesn't I've talked with Amex it does not show up on your report. Go check.
As an intern who had a balance, collections comes after you, not Deloitte. Even if there is no impact immediately to your credit rating, you are on the hook for your card if there are purchases out of policy.
Thanks. That's what I thought. When I saw other people listing it as one of their credit cards on the other post, I thought that I would clarify.
They only way it would impact your score would be if they came after you for being delinquent (>90 days). Simply being late or frequent payments don't affect it.
Good to know- thanks!
It's a charge* card. But after 90 days, there's no difference.
Well... It didn't show up on my "free credit report"... up: what happens if I leave the firm and have a balance which I do not pay?
Not on your credit report, means it won't impact your credit score either way. I am sure AMEX has recourse, but it is likely through Deloitte, and not Recoveries directed at you.
Agree with D1 & D2, if your company declared bankruptcy and goes under, you are on the hook for those payments. I'm sure you can sue, but it's your credit impacted in the meantime. So file those expense reports often
Mine got close to the 90 day mark and my credit score took a big hit. It could have been from my high rate of credit utilization, but I am wondering if the corporate card had anything to do with it.
It didn't. Seriously, go pull your credit report, it's not on there.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I have. Good to know one way or another. This is one reason why I haven't gotten an Amex sooner- I never understood how they impacted your credit score.
Your credit score is a point in time value. If you had high utilization and that caused it to drop, it will go back up when the utilization drops again. Ideally you want your utilization to be under 10%. Remember that only matters for your statement balance and also your credit score doesn't mean anything unless you're applying for a loan so don't sweat it for no reason
Yep, thanks!
No problem
