I try to, but the way inflation is set up these days it makes it hard for me to do so. I'm trying to find ways to supplement my income and invest in passive forms of income. Anyone have any ideas?
I had never heard of this rule until now. Unfortunately with what I make now, my bills are more than 50% of what I make. I hope to get a new job that pays more soon where I can afford to do this thanks for he tip
What is that?
50% of your monthly income to bills and needs, 30% to savings and debts, and 20% for yourself (whether that is shopping, drinking and dining out, entertainment, travel, etc.)
Is that 30% into savings? And 20% for fun vacation money?
Fair enough. I am trying my best but it’s hard!

But I think it's a really good rule of thumb to follow. I think my generation is weirdly allergic to budgeting but it's crucial for me.
I try to budget pretty strictly but I agree it’s hard to keep it exact
