Hi Techies,
I want to know that where should move/upskill from networking routing switching to other domains to get more salary.
I feels that networking industry doesn't have deep pocket like others.
Any suggestions of technology/domain?

For perspective, I just turned 50 and am entering my 3rd year as a UX Designer after a career pivot. Quality of work, communication polish, adaptability, high empathy, understanding office politics, thorough research and a track record of success may be contributing factors (I keep telling myself). Good luck!!

Amazing!! All the best to you!
Lol 30+ is not old at all, even for entry level.
Not saying 30 is old. But compared to people who are 22 or 23 and land design jobs out of college it’s a bit of an age gap. I feel startups are going that route more than anyone else.

I dont think so.
I had a chat with someone they really valued my experience as a 29year old.
I fear the same but each company needs a SR,JR, and a lead person.
We always have an experience under our belt.
It is tough but easier for 30+ to grasp concepts
At 31 just did my transition to UX last year. I am basically the same age as everyone else in design maybe even younger than 50% at my level
I feel like most of the folks I know didn’t really land their first UX gig until they were further along in another career. A lot of folks come into this space from other gigs.
That’s exactly what happened to me. I was in another career path within tech but did not enjoy it at all. Once COVID happened it was an opportunity for me to transition to UX/UI. Loving my job now and enjoying what I do.
Yeah, at 30 you can almost count years out of school on one hand. Recalibrate your thinking.
That said, almost anyone you think is looking for younger actually wants cheaper, so be affordable enough. If you have additional experience, they'll see additional bang for the buck.
