Big getting stingy as fk. Time to be out
When did this happen?
Did u get an email about it? What market?
Yea I haven't seen anything about this.
Now associate will get performance bonus too. And sr bonus range is increased. But I'm not convinced until I get bonus next year. Also time value of money
Haven't seen this either, would have been in PwC news
I think what OP is referring to is a couple years old. I got a year end bonus two years ago as an associate
Timing of it is interesting though -- you have to be with the firm by or before 4/30, and still with the firm as of 9/30 to get the bonus. This means that people who performed well during a crappy engagement will also forfeit their entire bonus if they leave during the summer, which is when most people leave.
@PwC6: 4-5 months after busy season? that's not how bonus' are timed
THAT'S BS. I'm doing a couple stub period audits for acquisitions, and was definitely looking for a contribution award come December. The little bonuses throughout the year were nice
Yeah I love how they tried to spin it as a good thing. Just instead of getting three bonuses you now get one slightly bigger bonus. Guarantee the YE bonus will not be the same as all three would have been. In now way does this benefit us
Three hours ago? Maybe it's just for my market
What market OP?
West coast major market
I thought PwC has the same bonus policy across different markets. I guess I'm wrong.
This is really for Associate level, folks complained that the contribution bonus wasn't enough so now they get a full performance bonus potential and the senior bonus pool is also increased. Geesh, even when they do something good you guys complain. Go ask for an explanation so you understand instead of jumping the gun to the negative.
That's how bonus' work pwc7
Welp just got the email. They said it will be communicated nationally soon. I got 2 contribution awards last year though paid out almost immediately, so I will miss that.
What's the difference? Is this like merit increase and variable comp/bonus?
This has been in effect for a couple years already in my market.
