Couldn’t agree more, for me that little bit of exercise was really great. Have been having a hard time fitting it in though lately. Also trying to set goals, big and small, and just be more mindful with my time. For both in and outside of work! Can be a lot of going through the motions, so trying to be more thoughtful.
Pro tip, swing by a bookstore or another boutique while on your walk. Even just a couple of extra minutes makes me feel like I did something substantive that’s not work-related.
Not entirely fulfilling but when I've accomplished more than half of what I was meant to do, that counts for something. I've found that taking adequate rest and listening to my body is as important as eating right and getting regular exercise. I also know when to tap out as a form of self-care to prevent myself from burnout or any mental health issues.
I solve puzzles (in books) every day to make the day a bit more fulfilling.
