Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

More than this would be more people, bigger company, more well-known company, more challenging company, reputation turn around situation, more money, bigger title like chief communications officer in the c-suite. It depends on what your needs, wants, and values are. Do you really think you've peaked? Maybe it's time to start your own company. Maybe it's the working for somebody else part that really has you questioning your achievements these days. In any case, these are just some things to think about as you ponder next steps.
I’m taking my strategic communication skills to the next level with a law degree. I no longer find this work meaningful or fulfilling.
It’s not just about the title op. It’s also about what you get from the position. How you can drive change if you want to…. Or acknowledging that this is it, and earning your salary for the next 12 years is maybe enough.
All great points. I feel like I’ve peaked where I am not because of title and salary, but because I’m not learning anything new. So for me it’s “do I stay here for the next X years and be comfortable” or do I seek out a new challenge? It’s very hard to be at the top of the game in all things in life.
Every 5 years you should be reinventing yourself.
