Are they going in one direction? If so which direction? My understanding is that Littler typically has a higher salary but OD has better bonuses. As for the delta between I don’t know that number.
I guess that’s what I’m wondering—taking salary and bonuses into account, what is the difference in total compensation?
Not sure about this across the board. I’m not in a major market. Littler’s base salary is like 30k over OD here for a fourth year (my level). I don’t know how much OD dishes in bonuses, but I can’t imagine OD’s bonuses would jump that gap.
Edit: That being said, even if the average OD bonus is 15k, that’s not that big of a pay disparity.
I’m at Littler and from what I understand, our base salaries are higher but bonuses are much better at OD.
I don’t know. But there’s probably value in having more in salary because it’s guaranteed.
OD’s base salary is $20-30k lower in many markets, but has basically guaranteed bonuses for hitting your number (usually 1900 billable). Littler’s bonuses are discretionary and less likely. Overall, Littler’s economic package is better but the difference isn’t huge.
Does littler not have a bonus at all?
That makes sense. I don’t believe the OD bonus closes the gap. Hitting your hours gets you $10k
Same for od now. Have to hit effectiveness target
Of has guaranteed bonuses of 10k at 1900.
5 percent of your salary at 2000
10 percent at 2050
15 percent at 2100
20 percent at 2150
25 percent at 2200
so if you’re making 160 (just making it up) you’re going to max out at 50k on the bonus schedule.
