Avanade Director is equivalent to Accenture Senior Manager (l6) and Avanade SD is equivalent to L5, which has various titles at Accenture.
I don't have much insight to their comp, but with knowing the level equality should help in your research
This is correct. Avanade Director = Accenture SM (CL6). Avanade Sr. Director = Accenture Associate Director (CL5). Accenture salaries are usually higher than Avanade salaries across any level.
There are no “Director” or “Senior Director” titles at Accenture. There is “Managing Director” (MD). There are four levels within MD, with level 4 being the newest and level 1 being the most senior (also L1 has a title modifier - “Senior MD”). TC probably ranges from 300k - 2M+ depending on level and scope of responsibility.
I can’t speak to Avanade.
Reconciling with Acc2 post.
Also, L2 = ‘Director’ and L3 = “Senior Executive” is confusing.
D/SD are MD leaders, so salary will vary. Probably somewhere between 500-1m. They help run practices and such.
Directors at other firms would be managers /SM here. Comp would be 180+ for M to 220+ SM in non-tech.
It’s not always the case. But if you are coming from industry, comp for “Director” level roles at F500 companies tend to be similar to what Accenture SMs make. So that’s why that perception is there.
If you are coming from another consulting firm and you are a “Director”, that usually means you are a non-equity peer to Partners, in which case your comp is probably more similar to Accenture MDs (L4, maybe L3).
