have confidence should a divorce be needed, he will be severely raked over the coals regardless of the circumstances- providing you financial security
Marriage can protect you just as much as it can harm you. It’s no different than any investment vehicle.
As with any investment, you have to manage risk, and continually tend to it to ensure you get the best ROI.
As for whether or not it’s worth it, you need to define what you’re looking to gain from it relative to the sacrifices you have to make and the potential risks you have to assume to enter into that kind of contract.
Marriage is still, to this day, hedging risk for a woman. But it’s becoming less so except on the topic of children as more women are college educated, staying longer in the workforce, owning assets and being employed.

What do you mean by “Protect you as a working woman”?
Yes that’s why I want to evaluate on the terms of the state and not necessarily on the basis of thinking someone is marriage material… that will prove with time and I am committed to this person anyway
Protect you from what?
I treated last 3 long term relationships as marriages, it is my home training or something
I have no idea what this post is trying to say lol
It really all depends on each circumstance
OP - I made 3x what my husband did and we initially agreed to split our assets according to proportional contribution. Long story but he tried to sue me for spousal support (we had no kids and he had an engineering degree and worked full time). Judge denied spousal support but I had to pay him a lot to just go away….(he got 1/2 my retirement account because he never bothered to set one up)
Thank you for your insight

Never settle. Until you reach the top. Even then it’s not settling, it’s teaming up! 😀. Good luck and have fun along the way!! 😀
