Let it be known that R/GA has done one of the best jobs with layoffs. They have been so kind and helpful. I still wish we had a doc to call our people who handled things well/poorly.
Not sure about best. The agencies that haven’t had layoffs at all would be classified as handling it better. You all closed an entire office.
One week for every year is normal for most jobs
Yeah to clarify rga was generous with medical benefits covered through end of year but severance was semi standard of 1 week /yr of tenure (though minimum of 4 weeks so those employees that were there 1-3 years benefitted the most from that). I wouldn’t expect more severance from that from really any agency
Holding companies be holding companies.
I legit had an interview with one of the GroupM agencies today and the recruiter said they weren’t doing any forms of layoffs/furloughs...
GroupM layoffs including the children were enacted in the EMEA markets last week
not shocked at all. leaving GroupM was the best decision of my life, I am so much happier. Hope anyone laid off finds the same!
Health benefits only till end of month.
