Ever notice how the quietest person in the room is often the one who knows the most? Yet, their ideas get buried because they’re too hesitant to speak up.

So here’s the real question: Is it our job to “encourage” them, or should workplaces create spaces where people don’t need courage just to be heard?

How do you draw out brilliance without forcing people to fit the loudest-voice-wins culture?

Shut the morons up and have 1-on-1 conversations with the silent, smart ones. Also, pay the smart ones more lol. Look into who's actually building and driving the value and who is just spilling garbage out of their mouths.

One of my junior associates recently resigned and I've been trying to make an exit myself for several months now. The job market has been really competitive but I am getting closer to getting a new job and moving on. The firm culture isn't great and work-life balance is non existent. My physical and mental health have been suffering, so I really don't think I could stay. How did you avoid the guilt trips from Partners/Senior staff trying to get you to stay?

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

First time visiting this city so it’d be great to take in some sights too (although that’s not a priority of course).

I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.
