There are lot of mixed reviews about Nagarro.. some folks are saying Nagarro do not fire even in covid the only did the pay cuts and did not fire anyone... where as some folks are saying Nagarro is hiring rigorously more than their projects strength so firing will happen for sure and if you are on bench for more than 1 month you are in red zone as the same happened in past... what is the mystery.. can anyone from Nagarro an honest review about this organization.

If you don’t know what you want to do, how are we suppose to know?

Each persons interest are different. One person can find interest doing consulting while they hate tax and someone else might enjoy tax and hate consulting. The question where does your interest lie and what do you enjoy doing
I’m also A1 in Tax. I totally agree with what you said about your 1st year experience. I feel like we’re so new to the job and need time to figure out what we like/don’t like. My coworker who started with me last year just left the firm for an industry position where she said she will no longer do tax. Maybe checking Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed to see the options. I kinda want to jump to fund accounting, back office position at IB. I also look into consulting. Hope this help! And please don’t get discouraged.
Seems like a good idea. Thanks for the advice!
Do you want to understand tax more? Like, is tax something you cared about but the environment isn't supporting you in learning? The pandemic has been balls for that aspect of tax imo, it's felt so hard to assimilate new technical stuff and I can't tell if it's because remote work is hard, because my direct manager is awful at management (which he is) or because I'm getting old.
The administrative parts never end...most days I wish I could just do returns lol. I can deal with doing my share (and also my manager's share) of the admin parts in return for getting to do a job I love. If you don't have that love for tax, I hope you find something that's more up your alley. If you've ever had a real love for the mechanics of it, I hope you can get more support to learn and grow within tax.
My teams appreciate having me around but I just feel deep down inside, I would be happier elsewhere. Just wanted to hear out other people in this community and what they find interesting surrounding the field of accounting but not in tax.
First year? I see you’ve really given it a good go. 🙄

Consider looking into Netsuite consulting. Or resource management for tax. Take the accounting and/or tax knowledge and just use it from a different angle.
