I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

I did a PT MBA and was looking to do the same. We had many of the same recruiting options as FT but it was way more difficult for me to find the time to go to those events as they were usually held during normal working hours. I had friends who made the switch to consulting but none of them went to McKinsey/Bain/BCG. I eventually decided to stay with my current employer because they treated me well and I enjoyed the work. I’d say it’s possible but the time commitment required just doesn’t work for most people.
Which PT program was this? I can DM if you don’t feel comfortable sharing.
Hey there, I’m in your exact position as well.
Trying to go an experienced hire route by networking into my targeted firms through the alumni network. Some seem open to it, but I haven’t gotten a firm answer from recruiting at these firms.
Granted, the hiring environment isn’t great right now so it’s been a bit tough to have these very forward looking conversations.
When are you expecting to graduate?
Not until 2027 so hopefully the market will improve by then.
