How much are they offering and what office? Hours here are not a joke, I can tell you that. Plus you eat 30% of your hours.
Lol initial offer is never final.
I'm QAS but still getting shitty pay. Would switch soon to D.
QAS = Quantitative Advisory Services. Yea some of the work is very intellectually challenging but again it's so fast paced that more often than not you devise sub standard complex looking solutions. But still good. Ask for 150k.
Generally very intelligent group of people with strong pay, as it is in high demand-they’re selling more work than they can staff so they often have to pull resources from other groups. In my experience, never eat hours but actually encouraged to charge as many as possible. Work can be repetitive (model validation can only be so stimulating), but also can be challenging. Almost no travel.
SA - Yeah they try to be cheap but you can probably hardball them into giving you more. They critically need people atm and would be willing to pay
EY1 and EY2 thanks again. That’s good advice and I really appreciate your inputs. Either way, I am genuinely willing to walk away from the offer as-is, and I will communicate that to them accordingly.
Good plan! Best of luck 😁
Mind sharing your level/pay? They are offering me SA3 position, trying to make a decision. What do you think of the work?
DC, between 130-140k range. What kind of hours and work? Is it intellectually challenging work?
Out of curiosity what is QAS
EY1 & EY2 Thank you both for the feedback. It seems the feedback about the group is consistent in terms of intelligence. Recruiter told me that the group is “constantly hiring” and that their initial offer is “final” and won’t budge. They also know that it is within a small amount of my current earnings. This type of attitude makes me want to not take the offer out of principle.
