EY3 -and what is wrong with running nunbers? Numbers form the foundation and building block of the deal model. If you dont get the numbers all the other stuff like synergies, cost savings, etc is bullshit
Perfect!! Very helpful.. EY2 👍 Thank you..

I am guessing 250k would be top end of range. This would be for very senior senior managers
Thanks this is very helpful. Do they hire direct entry ED?
Transaction support?? Careful they are typically cpas and forever auditors as they run the numbers.
OP - I have not heard of a direct ED hire (I am in the grp btw). There are only a handful of EDs in the country (approx 6 ish)
Thanks EY2- how big is the group? Growth of the practice, hiring, firing, very busy, long hours.. ?
Its the biggest grp in TAS in terms of headcount and revenue although OTS has caught up. Growth is on the sell side through large transformational divestiture projects. We are looking to hire and personally I havent heard of any firings. On the buyside hours can be unpredictable and demanding especially if you are serving top PE clients. NYC office serves all prestigious PE clients (think Warburg, KKR, Carlyle, types)
Ey2 spoken like a true cpa... if that’s your jam, cool.
EY3 what do u think..
I think depends where you’re coming from. The majority of people I know in TS came over from audit or were recruited in instead of audit. However there’s an entire business valuation and modeling group if you want to get into the numbers from more of financial perspective, as opposed to accounting.
Thanks EY3. The business modeling and valuation although sounds like they do interesting work however they are smaller in size and not a lot of openings.
