I’ve been with PwC almost for a year now in the valuations group and I don’t see myself doing this long term. 90% I’m helping Audit Teams understand valuations and 10% I’m doing PPAs. I always wanted to go into more a consulting role (ops/strategy role). I also like modeling, but the current modeling I’m doing is more accounting focused rather than finding business value from synergy creation. Ideally I’d like to stick with PwC but I’d switch too. Thoughts where I should apply too?
Do you have a prenup? What does it involve?

Wow… that sums up how I feel most days. However I’m having a lot of trouble with the “…and that’s okay…” part. Since I know tomorrow I’ll feel the same, and the day after that, and… (you get the point) I’m unable to get comfortable in my own skin. How’s you get to a good spot mentally?
Years of practice
1) practice gratitude/meditation
2) find a mantra you can repeat when things are tough (mine is “right now, it’s like this”)
3) I know that things will eventually get better and sort of “borrow” that feeling
4) I pray and recite chapters from psalms (I’m really into chapter 69 which is about feeling lost and being unable to get footing)
5) drink water and go for walks
It's super frustrating when this happens. It's easy to get your head around when you have physical pain or issue there is an part of the body you can point too or highlight but when it's mental or psychological we feel that there must also be somewhere to 'point' too and when we can it's just annoying! Have you ever sat down and tried to workout what might make you feel happier outside of whats already on your paper?
