Final round of interviews for my *dream job* Company is RTO in May. They want me to relo but the schedule is hybrid. Initially, I told them yes I would relo, but it’s very hard to imagine relocating for hybrid work + my entire family is on the EC. Is it absurd to negotiate a monthly travel/lodging stipend instead of a relo package? Has anyone ever reneged on relocation? Company is opening an office in my current city but the project I’m working with is based on the WC…open to all advice!

Should I continue to live at my parents house in the Midwest as things start to open back up or move back to my assigned office city on the east coast? I’ve been saving a lot of money, but I don’t have any friends out here in suburbia. I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol

Partner keeps telling me (2nd year) that I need to get better at using staff like paralegals to reduce client costs.....but doesn't realize that the only paralegal allocated to my group has been with the firm for 30 years and bills 1.5x higher than me.

How does one find a therapist? Like what are the steps to finding a good therapist and does insurance cover anything? Everyone always encourages therapy, but never gives a run down on how to start.

When did you know your firm wasn't right for you? I'm not sure if it's just the stress of being a new attorney with a family or if my job isn't the right fit. I work in civil litigation and am consistently below my billables. I can't stay late because my kids need me and I can't work on the weekends because I have to maintain my house and take care of my kids. I'm being constantly told to work harder, stay later, etc but it's not practical. Or am I not approaching this with the right mindset?

Can I export a list with all emails I sent for the month? I would like to use it to compare to my billed time to make sure I don’t miss anything. Usually I go through my sent inbox but it has so much extra info so it’s not a quick scan. Plus outlook does weird things sometimes like combines conversations so I only see most recent sent item in that convo. Alternatively, do you have a good way confirming you caught all of your email time?
