Everything always takes me so long to do :/
A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

I my opinion, don’t do it. You want to avoid creating too many habits or sleep dependencies if you want foster a flexible baby able to fall asleep on their own! We did just fine with a bassinet, swaddle (first 8 weeks then he started to roll so it’s not safe), white noise and paci. It’s also incredibly expensive and I preferred to spend $$ on items with more longevity like my uppababy stroller that’s been used every day for 2+ years!
I vote yes! Transition wasn’t a problem for my son- we stopped the movement and kept him in the snoo for a week before moving to the crib and it went smoothly. He’s very flexible now and sleeps almost anywhere. We only did nights (not naps) so maybe that helped? On number 2 now and I think that the snoo is helping - we are a month in and got almost a 5 hour stretch last night, so I’m a big proponent !
Rent it!
Your baby might not need it so don't buy it unless it's necessary.
It worked well for us, but we don’t have anything to compare it to. Our daughter was sleeping through the night around 12 weeks. Transition to the crib around 5 months no problems. She’s 3 now and still sleeping through the night. Bought our used on FB marketplace and resold it for nearly as much as we bought it for.
Two kids, no snoo. On most recent kid said if I need it I will buy it. Never once felt like I needed it!for that cost. I will say with my first kid, I put her in a friends when she was like six months old just as a joke to see her in the little straight jacket as she fell asleep in TWO SECONDS. I could have used it for naps, neither of my kids started off as great nappers. But my second was sleeping through the night at 9 weeks on her own.
Pick your poison. It’s great in the early days (although I’m convinced you can get similar results with an Ollie swaddle and a sound machine), but the crib transition SUUUUCCCKKKKSSSS.
I didn’t end up using a snoo and didn’t need it but other parents have loved it! I think I suffered for 2 weeks maybe? And almost bought it but then it was over
It worked wonders for us. Son was sleeping through the night by 8 weeks. We don’t have anything to compare it to though. I was nervous about the transition but he slept soundly the first night in the crib. I’d recommend renting for a few months if you’re nervous about the price tag. We probably should have done that but the resale on Facebook marketplace was close to what we bought it for on sale anyway.
We had it and loved it. It was good at extending naps at times and getting him to sleep. Hardly any crib transition issues. He is having a crib issue now that he's constantly trying to roll, though. Before the rolling thing, he was sleeping through the night for months.
We did not get one, opted for a very simple option, and our baby slept like a dream from night one. You don’t need a Snoo but HIGHLY recommend swaddling and sound machine (only at night) and to use a night light/never turn a light on at night and try not to play/interact with baby during night feeds/changing. Your baby will need to move to a crib eventually in a few months, and you can carry on the consistency of the swaddle and sound machine, but that crib is not gonna rock your baby to sleep. Good luck!
Didn’t have for #1. Loved for #2.
Followed every “good sleep routine” rule for #1 had to cry it out at 5 months in order to get him to sleep through the night. Broke every rule with my second (nursed/rocked to sleep, snooed to sleep, didn’t bother with an elaborate bedtime routine) and still had to CIO at 5 months to get a full nights sleep unassisted.
All this to say… long term outcomes were the same, but I was a lot happier/saner for infancy of my second I give SNOO 35% of the credit for this
Snoo was great for us, and really minimal disruption transitioning to the crib. At around 5 months we used the wean mode on the snoo, did naps in the crib and after a few weeks moved to the crib completely.
Loved the Snoo for our first who started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks. We'll see how it goes for our second due in Feb. If you end up deciding to buy it, be on the lookout for their Black Friday deal. We got ours for 40% off.
Had the SNOO. My little one slept through the night starting at 6 weeks. It’s great but won’t replace sleep fundamentals—full bellies, wake windows, going down drowsy but awake, etc.
