I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.

I feel the struggle, but you are complaining after only five? Five? Try going through 20 in a row with nothing. Show some grit.
What's defined as front office?
A fit issue means they would rather have someone else on the desk due to their personality. Try to lighten up and be a bit less stiff. Go for a drink with them after the interview.
Agreed with MS1. You made it to the final round so clearly you're capable. There is a flavour to every candidate- get someone in FO that you trust to give you direct feedback. If you don't do this, you're wasting your time.
I mean an unbiased and untainted third party. Why were they split? What could you have done differently? I'm telling you, charisma is underrated in the job hunt- but it's at least 50% of the discussions. Do we like you? Would you make my group look good? Are you competent? It's very easy to tell in an interview. Like it or not, there was something that happened in those interviews that put 50%+ of the group off of you and onto the other. Figure out what that was.
Time to go through a few practice interviews with an FO friend. Something may be killing your persona.
They always tell me it's a fit issue and that someone else is a slightly better fit.
I feel your pain.
Mine is the reverse problem though, they keep telling me I'd be a great fit but because my technical skills exit the room under interview conditions I never appear competent enough :/
GS1, that's exactly what I did, actually. I got close to one of the people I interviewed with because it was a really close margin between me and the person they chose. I got told that I'm perfect in interviewing, nothing to improve, but fit was just better with someone else. This person even told me how they were split on the final decision in terms of numbers
