Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Apparently AA had a glitch with their PTO system a few weeks ago and accidentally approved all PTO requests for pilots over the holidays. They said there would be no impact but I guess not
16 hours is a lot
^Especially for international - people’s travel documentation is often very time sensitive, so this is a little more serious than just a domestic delay I’d think.
Start with asking for food hotel and taxi vouchers. No clue on $$ amount, but I've never gotten more than a few hundred for future travel. It's harder when the whole plane is delayed. Good luck
If you’re flying from an EU member state, EU261 compensation would apply: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Compensation_Regulation_261/2004 Your hotel will likely be willing to cancel a night without charged if you booked directly with the hotel, as will the car rental agency (if you now have the car for a day less). Worth giving both a call and explaining the airline delay!
If you booked with a travel credit card (amex, sapphire reserve) they have travel delay insurance which I'd look into
Call them and say the delay violates their conditions of carriage. You may get a full refund. I had a flight departure that was changed by six hours and they refunded me no problem with no fees.

And what’s the most efficient way of filing a complaint to get my money back? Appreciate any help since this has been painful enough already. Can I get my hotel and car expenses related to the delay? I lost a full day and still have to pay for everything.

Credit card benefits should help. There is also an app to get money from airlines . They keep 30 percent of what they are able to get you
What is wrong with saying entitled D1? 16 hours is a long time and the error is clearly something that was within their control.
@D1 haha, I feel like I’m entitled to some sort of compensation after such a shitshow. Overall customer service was non existent and a delay due to pilot scheduling issues could have easily been prevented.
Thank u for the advice! I got car vouchers and food vouchers only so far ($24/2ppl...) and will try my best to get a full refund. Already tweeted and got a response from AA as well 😊

How many people are stranded like you? Its monstrous for them to screw up so many people for 16 hours. That 24 $ for two people is like pea nuts. I always such at negotiations like this. But ideally I would want some thing like 1 k in travel vouchers or something like - year of lounge access or free vacation to Caribbean. Let us know what you got as a deal.
