Layoff going on in Synechron ?
So, lay off until the pandemic blows over.
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

Quit layoffs through all areas in PI. Even spread across all levels. If you've met utilization and sales goals, you don't need to worry.

Surgical firings - combination of mediocre ratings, low utilization, specialization in skills that are not strategic, or people that refuse to travel (waiting on bench for a local project)
I know of three people personally who all happened to be Senior Managers, but EY1 is right--they all had poor util and sales and just weren't our strongest anyway. They would have been let go anyway, if not this year, then the next probably.
Well, I am a staff from Cyber practice.. CTM on the whole is doing pretty bad and my until is 50.. So was just worried. (New hire started 7 months ago)
In my opinion (so who knows whether it's close to accurate), it's easier to keep on a staff and justify that they haven't had as much control over util
