I am in a bit of a good/bad spot. I have worked at Salesforce for close to a year as a consultant. They want to bring back travel to 50%+ post Covid and I am not feeling that motivated to be away from my family that often. I have an opportunity to join a startup as a Sr. PM likely making the same or a tiny bit less. But no travel and not consulting. All internal project. I don’t know what else I should be looking at. I joined Accenture 5 months back as a lateral hire ( Level 11 ) and have been a part of a project since day one.

I am not enjoying my work here, no motivation at all. Dreaded to report to work and having stress and anxiety. My manager is trying to micromanage me as productivity is on the lower side.

Another thing is, I have started to dislike my current tech and no more interested in it.
What are my options here ?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Anyone else having trouble focusing today? Every time I have a long break and come back to the office I’m reminded how much I don’t like my current job.
