Folks who fly on Tuesdays, how long does it take to get to ORD from gold coast for an 8am flight?

Allow 30 mins but may be less.

Depends on when you leave and how you get there. If you leave at 6am and Uber to airport it’ll take up to 1.5 hours. One thing you can do is Uber from Gold Coast to a blue line station (10-15 mins), wait for train (5-10 mins), then take train to airport (40 mins). It’s a reliable way to get there whereas traffic can be volatile

Guys he said Tuesday. Traffic is a lot lighter than on a Monday.

like

Used to take me 45 mins to an hour on Monday's

like

On Monday’s what? 😂

There’s a big block of traffic from loop to Belmont on 90 in mornings regardless of day of week

like

I made it in 28 mins this week from just a bit further north

If you leave before 5.30, 25-30 min tops. Any later, 1.5 hrs

Hi all,

I just got a job with Delta airlines and I had an accomodation request to work remotely as I am Immunocompromised. I provided all the neccesary documents to back up my request and letters and documents from my Dr. aswell. My request was denied because the team said they wanted me to have face time and one on one interactions with people from other team (which defeats the purpose of my request) because I have to limit those interactions to reduce the risk of infection. What do I do?

Might require some travel once it’s safe again but not anytime soon. Good opportunity to be actively involved in building something from nothing

This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? I recently accepted an offer and have onboarding coming up. Any idea how busy I’ll be in the evenings for those couple of days? The calendar invite only goes until 4pm but I wasn’t sure if there’s any additional events that go on. My fiancé wants to travel with me so we can spend some time in the city where I’m onboarding, but not sure if I’ll be busy the entire time or not.

So I get that in a corporate set up, you are supposed to be sharp and witty and think on your feet. Trouble is, I am extremely slow with comebacks. (Think Ross in Friends/Amy in B99) at the crunch moment, I generally end up not being able to give a good roast back. Unfortunately the best of them come to me like a few hours later (dinner/shower/TV) and I am left ruing and amazing opportunity to have gotten one back. I am awful at jibes and roasts.

Anyone else suffer from this?
