Interviewed at Deloitte, PwC and EY for Advisory Senior Consultant role. Deloitte offered $105K (plus $5K bonus), PWC offered $127K (plus $15K bonus) and EY offered $155K (plus $10K bonus). Surprised with the difference in pay between Deloitte & EY for same role. Is Deloitte Advisory paying less compared to other firms? 4.5YOE in Consulting.

ALWAYS
For everything always.
Always. Try to include something specific you talked about, either in your work or industry related (to reaffirm that you have a POV).
EP OP - Follow up the next day. But don’t expect a response. It’s rare that they reply to “thank yous.” It doesn’t mean they didn’t like you. Just the way it is
If you don’t know the answer to this, you shouldn’t be in business.
@SP1 - i know...do people not know what good manners are???
I interned at BBDO. Texted the recruiter all the time after the interview and she pretty much told me the reason I got picked was because I was "hungry."
Why would you not..
Sorry I’m barely ever on Fishbowl. Follow up question: how much after the interview? A day? Later that same day? And do you copy everyone you interviewed with or just the main person?
Usually within 24 hours.
Always - something that shows it is unique to your conversation too. Doesn’t have to be very long but just show it’s not a copy and paste thank you. I also always send thank you emails after meeting with a client in person or senior leadership colleagues.
@OP If you interview with multiple people, send custom emails to each of them. Trust me, people talk. A blanket thank you email sent to the same people, separately, is a red flag. Also, don’t forget the recruiter.
If they didn’t give you their email address, don’t just try and guess or cyberstalk. Reach out to the recruiter and ask for their email addresses or if they’ll forward your note.
Some may not agree about cyberstalking, but as a hiring manager I personally find it awkward and a bit invasive if I didn’t give you my card or it didn’t come from the recruiter. Can always send them a LinkedIn invite with a short note.
In terms of timing, always send as soon as possible— by end of day ideally. Seems like most teams have a huddle afterward or the following day to make a decision. Better if you can get your message in before the tribal Council meets.
@Lead Content Strategist, thanks for this! Very interesting insights! Is it cyberstalking if they didn’t give you their card but you have their emails from the calendar invite?
