Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Typically no exceptions are provided. You need to liquidate your holdings or you’ll fail independence potentially impacting your employment.
It is if they own specific stocks (for the most part indexes are ok) but it’s also a non-negotiable, at least at EY
Thanks all, also anything on how they handle estranged family?
Depends on who you’re referring to as“family”. At EY, it relates to spouses, spousal equivalents, and dependents.
It only matters if you ever get audited. If you don’t ever get audited, they will never know about anything. I’ve been at my firm for 3 years and I hold restricted stocks and use restricted platforms. You think I’m not buying QQQ because it’s on the unrestricted list? Yeah okay.
Deloitte requires you to use a broker that is enabled to provide them with a list of your holdings. You are allowed to have investments, but you must stay away from companies you may have conflicts of interest or privileged information such as your clients. You will be asked to divest if you can’t clear yourself from the restrictions. Deloitte also does not allow the use of robo-advisors.
You are responsible for clearing yourself, your spouse/spouse-equivalent and dependents, not sure what happens if you are estranged from any of them… maybe get an official separation or divorce.
