I was satisfied with my WLB at my last role but the comp was lackluster. At my current job, the comp is decent but I dread the job. With each move I make, it's just making me want to leave accounting all together.

WLB - pretty good. Have occasional overtime but it's maybe 6 weeks a year and 50 hours.
Pay - my company pays average to well on base but if we have a good year we get paid incredible bonuses.
What I'm missing - ability to move up.
I moved to Consulting and it was the best move I ever did.
Former PwC w/o CPA, my total pay increased 30% (They matched my salary plus guaranteed a minimum of a 30% of my salary as a bonus). At PwC, I had 8 audit clients with off year ends, so my busy season was year-round. 80 hours a week for two years. Started the new company, and was given 3 months of full pay to study for the CPA. Probably the best move I have ever done. Now, on a client, I work about 45-48 hours a week; however, every average hour over 45, there is an additional bonus I get.
