Depends on their situation. If their payout is only 50% at that level I am assuming they are getting a ton including rent and more.
We are at roughly 1.6 and payout is 94.5. We have staff, rent and other expenses - roughly 300k total. Take home will be about 1.2 this year
At a wire house, if the payout is 50%, the only other expense to consider is setting aside a small portion for T&E, and paying your CSA (supplemental pay), typically wouldn’t be more than 5% total.

Totally depends where you are at, comp structure is different everywhere. Love that you are asking around because you should do that until you find the best long term solution for you
Assuming they work for a big brokerage firm like ML, MS, UBS they would be taking home close to $1mm - . Not all PC’s pay the same. And hopefully they are paying you. You are smart to be figuring this out now.
I don’t think so.
They would get $1mm plus there is some additional deferred comp they will get from the firm
At my firm advisors get paid out 70-80%… depends on the model.
45% is baseline comp. Then the remaining 25-40% can be earned based on your rolling 4 quarters (essentially where you are on the grid). So there’s folks that earn 80%
