Two totally different things. It's like studying for a test in school versus actually working
Working is harder to me, since there’s so much more than just work- have to deal with people, office politics, learn many types of software, etc. I’d rather sit and study on my own any day.
Work is definitely harder for me. If I don’t do well in the CPA exam, i just try again, nobody else cares. If I don’t do well at work, I let my team down, and someone else either a peer or my manager, has to cover for my mistakes.
Working is harder, studying doesn’t require me to deal with idiots
I would rather work than study for the CPA exams again.
Yeah work is harder I think. Work also has the pressure of if you fail too badly you're gonna get fired. Work also brings with it more adult issues like retirement savings, potentially buying a house, learning to save money, paying off school debt, etc.
CPA exam of course or any exam. Heck, school is less hard to discuss my ideas freely to a certain extent without all that political or trying to be like the other nonsense things to watch out for...can’t truly be true self at work
Yes working while taking cpa exam is very hard and those with a family to take care of, super super hard
Working is harder than the exam. CPA exam is “hard” if you’re working at the same time and cannot dedicate 100% focus to it especially if you factor in the stress of busy season. The pass rate is low due to the low barriers of entry that surround it + you have ppl failing either due to a) working FT with not enough studying, b) ppl that sign up but didn’t study cause they were lazy, c) studied for too long (to the point where you start to forget what you studied in the beginning)
The only exam I passed the first try was the one I took BEFORE I started work (FAR). My first 2 years I was on public client YEs for 12/31, 3/31 and 6/30 and it was just so hard to give them the proper amount of time and attention. I was always 1-2 points off. Finally passed them all my 2nd year but it was tough to balance work and studying.
Working is harder for sure. Exams end. At some firms busy season seems to never end.
I got all my exams done before I started working.
Working is harder. Working and studying at the same time is hard too. Once you start working its hard to go back to the studying mode.
