Hey everyone! Any advice for a new accounting graduate who’s struggling to get a first job? All of the employers are asking for years of experience but how can I gain experience if you don’t hire me in the first place?

Message me and send me your resume, I can look at getting you an interview. What’s your location?

Are you trying to get into PA?

You should easily be able to snag an associate position right now. Every firm is scraping the bottom of the barrel for talent and the recruiting pipeline is shot. Even if you just toughed it out for a couple of years, you could then take that experience elsewhere no problem.

DM for EY referral! Public firms are desperate right now surprised you’re not getting traction. How is your resume formatted? Might need to revamp for ATS

DM for PwC referral if you’re interested in tax

Hi I can give you a referral. I’m sure you can get a job no problem.

Any advice on how to pick the best company for me when offered a position from more than 1 company? I've been interviewing extensively with 4 companies, and I believe 2 are getting ready to send offers. If I receive more than 1 offer - how do I choose? I compared benefits, pros/cons, compared them on Glassdoor, questioned them about growth opportunities, asked about their culture.....anything I am missing? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’ve been in litigation for 15 years and I’m looking to make the switch. Ultimately, I’d like to get into Legal Ops, but feel getting some in house experience first would be beneficial.

Am I particularly uptight, or is writing meant to be done alone, without a partner talking to you? With past partners, we chat through script notes and then I go off to execute. Current partner likes to sit and chat as I write. To me, writing is crafting a conversation. So I can’t talk to you and simultaneously talk to this audience. Of course I can just say “I’m gonna go write.” But since we’re both CD level, I’m like…is this his first rodeo? Maybe other writers are different though.

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid
