Hi,
What will be the in hand salary for this?

Any word on layoffs at JPM?
If you have cash that you want to invest. Please consider Treasury Series I Savings Bond (Electronic). Interest is 7.12% right now. While it's not guaranteed that the 7.12% will remain until next year, it's still a good deal.
My SO and I just invested 20k (10k max per person even married).

PI is a challenging one because it doesn’t translate to in house work really. Maybe for a hospital or something like that.
I had a niche practice area (corporate, HC/LS M&A, and HC/LS regulatory compliance) and it made it super easy to go in house.
Thanks for your response. This is my worry as I do not have transactional or corporate experience. Any idea how I can bridge the gap?
Have you looked into insurance defence for insurance companies with in-house dept?
I may have to consider this. I didn't want to cross to the other side to defense but it's seeming like it's the way to go. Thanks.
How long have you been practicing?
It’s a tough switch but not impossible. You will likely have to be very open minded and willing to take a more entry level position — easier to convince people that your actually interested in doing this if your early in your career.
There are some litigation positions in house that are not PI but at least will have some of the skill set. Also — gotta work your network as much as possible, start asking for coffee chats, etc.
I learned high volume industrial service contracts in less than 6 months as a temp. Before I was officially licensed. You don’t need 2 years of practicing attorney experience for transactional work. Anyone who tells you different is misguided.
I moved in-house from PI around my 2/3rd year. It definitely takes time. I used a recruiter which helped a lot.
In interviews, I would focus on the more transactional work you do (drafting settlement agreements, negotiation with attorneys, reviewing evidence documents, etc). And be honest, say that after trying PI litigation for a few years, it is not what you want to do long term.
You're still early in your career so it should pigeon hole you, I would just be open to taking a somewhat entry level position.
Thanks a lot, for the pointers. I will reach out to recruiters and see which can be of help.
