Not about Amazon but maybe someone has the answer I’m looking for :) At Meta if you interview for a contract role and get rejected does the 6 month cool off period still apply to you when apply to new jobs? Similarly, if you are employed by a staffing agency at Meta are you barred from interviewing for other roles there? Facebook (Meta)

In my case, I was recruited by the owner of a company who called me at 10 a.m. on a Saturday. ( It’s an easy way to sort out “fibbers” since most people aren’t prepared to answer resume-related questions at that time/day.)
He asked me several questions about jobs and clients listed on my resume, but messed up facts and dates to see if I would catch and correct them - which I did since my resume isn’t padded/embellished.
He told me about the company he planned to launch and told me he needed a Marketing Director/CD to handle everything - video, print, electronic, PR to help him launch it. He asked me to revise a short company bio by Monday a.m. Very simple- I did it that night, and sent it back. That impressed him.
He called me Sunday to set up an interview. I drove 2.5 hours to meet with him and his staff on Wednesday. He hired me on the spot for the money I wanted. No questions.
Since I lived so far away, and had a job I needed to stay in for another two months. ( I was at Universal and October, November and early December are critical months), I made a deal with both companies.
I worked at Universal FT for two weeks, then went down to four days a week, including Sat and Sunday. The other three days, I worked at the new job. The owner paid for my gas, meals, and a hotel room for two nights.
I worked with a realtor every day I was there, found and bought a house - I technically closed before my contract started! The owner paid for my moving expenses. (Buying a house was much cheaper than renting back then.)
Launching a company and being in control of all the marketing and creative was a lot of fun. I was there, off and on, for six years. I’m still close with the owner.
Following as a director, PM too lol I want out
Same, I'd like to know. Where do I go ??
Following as I want out x10
I didn’t make it to 7 years, to be totally honest. I worked 2 years in an agency and started a job in internal communications. I was very lucky, I found the job on LinkedIn. It was a perfect match.
I got poached my a multinational that wanted to save money by having an in-house producer. I think it might become more common as everyone tighten their belts
I’m new to the industry. Why do you want out? Is working with an agency not good?
how is it so far?
