“Your Lord/Ladyship”
Gotta say “Master Smith,” in a British accent like you’re at boarding school.
“It’s Mike, long pause, Rodick.”
It's technically a Special Master.. so we say Special Master [insert last name]
In writing, Special Master.
Verbally, “Steve.” Unless his name isn’t Steve.
Unless they’re also a current/former judge in which case “Your Honor”
I struggled once and called him “Mr… Judge” lol
Your honor or Ref. Work just fine
MASTAAAAAA
In our jurisdiction, the appointment of a Special Master is routine. I always call them by their first name
In my jurisdiction (state not federal) they are referees. I've been one in the past. Court staff typically referred to us as Ref. Parties used everything from your honor to sir to asshole.
