Relatively new, trailing spouse here.

I’ve noticed that my mobility aid, medical equipment, etc, really seem to draw a lot of hostility in professional environments in Miami that they wouldn’t where I’m from.

Lot of comments about disability being unprofessional & unfair to make coworkers  look at; and the rudest questions.
I switched to a remote-first company bc of this.
But is there something I’m missing, a way to frame this differently?
It makes no sense.

I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

Does anyone have any tips on how to crossover to governmental affairs? I love government work, but I would like to try it from a different perspective.
