General likelihood of 3 YOE @ SC then 1yr MBA @ t20 earn me a Manager role somewhere? Only real pivot would be looking to do more commercial consulting (mostly federal experience)

Very rare. I've only seen that happen in these scenarios in my M7 full time 2 yr MBA program:
1. Returning to the pre-MBA employer, generally after sponsorship.
2. A deal with a small consultancy that is not a major name brand, but needs niche skills. More likely to happen outside of the USA.

If you have 3 SC YOE of fed/state consulting and want to become Manager for commercial consulting after a 1Y MBA, your chances do not look good. However, the post MBA consulting pay is almost certainly higher than what you would have made as a manager in federal anyway, so you still come out ahead.

Interviewer asked what my current salary / bonus is and I told them.

I got the offer and it’s exactly the same base/bonus as my current role. (Though they’ll also give me so stock options in the private company).

Can you share what is reasonable % increase to get for salary / bonus when switching jobs? I know the team really likes me.

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.
