Got "exceeds expectations" on my performance review. Company just posted record quarterly profits. My raise? 3%.
When I asked about the disconnect, I got "budget constraints" and "market conditions."
The math isn't mathing. Strong performance + company success should equal meaningful compensation growth, not cost-of-living crumbs.
Is anyone actually getting raises that match their performance ratings, or is "exceeds expectations" just corporate participation trophy language now?
