When does RSM find out about promos/bonuses/etc?

If you clearly meet the requirements for manager I don’t see why they can’t promote you early. This to me looks like a political HR BS issue. They wouldn’t want to give early promotion to manager and cause a sort of angst amongst employees (quite understandable). I would shop around and try to force their hand.
That’s a load of crap and you should push for it. I have always been told, for more than 15 years here, that RSM doesn’t have traditional timelines for promotion and that when you’re ready, you should be considered.
Sounds like BS. Plenty of people are early promote in BIg 4.
performed those reviews very well, I more than likely will not be promoted to manager this year because of only being in PA for 4 years. Don't want to be considered a whiny b*tch for complaining about not getting it early, but really considering leaving for another firm. Thoughts?
Manager promo in less than 5 years is extremely rare. You got the early supervisor promo so an early manager promo on top is a tough thing to get.
They want to pay you less. If you’re paid like a manager, your billing rate goes up and the partners get less cash for the same work. I really think it’s that simple. If they say it’s too soon for the title, push for the salary. Being a supervisor paid like a manager sounds good to me.
Do it
And!?
So you aren’t promoting early? I thought most firms require 5 busy seasons to reach manager? Or am I misunderstanding?
The earliest anyone has gotten it on the team is at 5.5 years. Audit, Central, and not too manay managers. Won't be doing the work load of manager reviews if we had enough.
Sounds like your getting fucked then, seems like every office is different.
Typical BS - people are promoted without having the required experience & yrs of service others are overlooked due to others having more exposure to the people making the decisions. It is not your work, effort, rating, years, it is who you know!
Limiting promotions by waiting period is dumb
Moss promotes with 4 years exp
Go right now to central audit lead c Mack. If your facts are as you describe you will get promoted. I doubt some facts though. Talent development meetings have not yet happened. Decisions have not been considered let alone made yet.
Rsm5. Game changer is totally based on meeting the performance descriptors all the time. If by visibility you mean your works impacts a team office and firm then duh
Tax or Audit? What region? Is it possible your team has too many managers already?
Leave if you can. That's a bullshit reason.
Unlikely to get a 5 unless you are being. groomed for bigger and better things! Game changer is totally based on visibility, who you know!
Playing devils advocate here but if you’re signing off as manager that much, I’m not sure how strong the business case would be. A bunch of Zone 1 or 2 work typically isn’t what gets someone promoted (at least in my market).
