Tough to get into IBD without finance experience and from PT MBA. Also, definitely longer hours too. Why do you dislike PM?

Tired of wearing so many hats as a PM and never ending context switching throughout the day. I need to be on top of a million things big and small and usually have back to back to back meetings with stakeholders to figure out what they want. A lot of the roles I’m interested in are strategy/finance hybrid roles in tech and they want people from IB or PE with 1-3 years of experience. Down the road I’d love to get into VC and, while not strictly required, IB seems the most common path. I spent 120k on mostly finance coursework and enjoy building models and doing financial analysis. Would love to put it to good use.

If you want to get into VC, why not exit to a start up or early stage company as head of product o something now and then VC can be the move after that
