Dr. Smart to you Deloitte. 🤣🤣
One of my ex McKinsey colleagues from 15 years ago used to ask us all “Are you gruntled?” I loved the question. And if you’re not, what will it take?
Healthy question to ponder.
Gruntling with the McKinsey name drop!

Literally no one uses the term gruntled unless dis is in front. Mr. Smart trying to sound smart like Pacey from Party of Five.
You make me blush, Consultant 1. Thank you. Call me Geoff. DM if you’d like to have a career chat with our head of talent.
As for our Deloitte Chief friend…it’s Dr. Smart to you. 😂😂
My wife worked at KPMG. Loved it. Hard. But good. Thank you for your comment.
The question stands.
So many Fishes are disgruntled.
So what would it take to be gruntled?
For real?
Recognition for hard and good work

As pet internet, gruntled originally was used in 1500s to say murmur or complain. So the word was negative already. Over time, dis was added to say “very dissatisfied “.
I’ll bite lol. Listening to a funny podcast while taking a walk by the water! Helps me feel centered and happy
For me it’s time on the boat, fishing, spending time in nature, time with family, having time to attend and give back to my temple, spending time cleaning up the environment and promoting critical thought and education about what makes America the greatest country on the planet.

So is the last name like a sarcastic nickname?

Sounds like OP is kind of an aster.
Thank you smart and helpful Fishes for sharing what makes you feel gruntled.
I’m gruntled traveling to check in with colleagues in Boston and DC next couple days. “How can we make your work lives better?”
Tools, training, support, etc. All I do these days as chairman and founder is LISTEN, problem solve, and approve budgets to get our colleagues what they need to maximize on impact, fulfillment, money, and fun. It’s a pleasure. And a privilege. Culture is the beginning of all good things. Talent wins. The end.
Do you want a pat on the back too? A golden star? Cookie points to brighten your day?
