EY ghosted me during college recruiting. Year later, I switched from PwC and the EY recruiter was really good. Had an offer in hand in 3 weeks from first convo. I think it just depends on the recruiter.
EY recruiter’s act like they are doing you a favour. I think they would have a hard time recruiting great talent because of their attitude. I would just move on OP, they make empty promises.
I was ghosted by EY in college also. They gave me the office interview then called a day later and rescinded. Very unprofessional imo
I had a bad experience with the EY recruiter as well. She questioned why my undergraduate GPA was lower than my grad one. I guess she was afraid it will go back down but being that I’m in grad school with a higher GPA should show an upward movement in ability
If it makes you feel better same thing happened to me while at EY!! 8 interviews, claim they really wanted me, silence for 2 weeks and then an email from the internal recruiter “sorry but they are taking a different direction...”
When I interviewed with EY, they seemed nice all round but not sure how clients give them work. The Sm’s and partner seemed like they were winging it. Lucky guys
Don’t take it hard. First it’s EY. Second they say that to everyone and it’s not just EY. Third sometimes all the people who’ve seen you get in a powwow and you can get disqualified for the dumbest things. I saw one good candidate get axed in two sentences because he had a little something extra around his nose that he didn’t know about.
