Had a bad showing for case interview about a month ago. I knew the material i just straight up had a bad day. Took feedback in exit interview and feel prepared to reapply for a different role with no cool off time… should I still wait or shoot my shot?
Asking as I am curious if my app will be flagged as I just applied to another role recently.EY-Parthenon

I think I just froze like a deer in headlights, perhaps too anxious. Cases revolved around growth, m&a and synergies. Id probably give myself a 6/10, in terms of overall performance: definitely not worthy of a full-time offer. I think I need to improve on overall case management, structure and leading forward. Again, I think I was just overly nervous. No real feedback though. Hopefully, if there is a next time, I’ll be a little calmer.

I’m sure you’ll get a referral, the market is hot right now! May I ask why you think it didnt work out? Did they provide feedback if you thought it went well?
Good luck with everything, I didn’t make it past Bain’s first round a couple weeks ago and haven’t had much luck elsewhere. I am sure you will only get better with time and experience and eventually make it there.
Thanks, you as well! You’re at big D, so you’ll be solid. But, to your point, practice makes perfect.
Check out this resource, it has case studies and a good way to get familiar with cases: https://economics.virginia.edu/sites/economics.virginia.edu/files/Darden%20Case%20Book%202018-2019.pdf
