Hi folks,
Can anyone confirm the variable policy of TechM, is it monthly or quarterly.
Heard from few folks that its was changed to quarterly and in offer letter nowhere its mentioned that its monthly or quarterly.simply said applicable as per variable policy.
Any folks recently joined and received salary please confirm it.
Thank you

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Any layoff expected in bny ?

Yeah, totally gonna read up on your problem now that you’ve declared us dense and assholes. Yep, let me get right back to you.
Now you’re just making shit up, right?
Pssst... It’s okay. This isn’t LinkedIn. You can speak normally here. 👍.
(Yes, we know what you’re saying but the post itself screams vertical 😂)
I’ve worked in both a high rise and a low rise building so yeah!
Bees are on the what now?
Yes. Went from ECD leading a large creative team at holding co agency to a similar position (creative/strategy leadership) on small specialist team at a large tech company. A little culture shock at first, but that had much more to do with the departure from agency life than the management structure of either company. Biggest adjustment for me was leaving an industry/company that was Creative led (in a leadership position), and finding my way in an industry/company that values creative problem solving, but is very engineering/finance led.
It's both rewarding AND humbling to be able to contribute thinking with people that have skills that I would have rarely run into in the agency world.
It's also horribly frustrating at times, but the pay is good. ;)
You’re a VP. You should be familiar with the difference between vertically and horizontally structures companies.
Nope. I work in an agency that has dysfunction in all directions!
(FB cuts off what we are VP of...makes it hard to know if you are creative, account, strategy, finance, planning, comms, media, production... we’re stealth! But also makes it fun when people like you assume we are idiots because we don’t do what you do!)
Since you’re all either dense or assholes (or both, it’s advertising) here’s some light reading on the subject: http://smallbusiness.chron.com/definitions-horizontal-vertical-organizations-23483.html
@OP I know the difference but I can’t stand the jargon. Same with ‘matrixed organization’. You have to admit said out loud it sounds ridiculous.
Ignoring all of the above, perhaps you edited the language of your post? Seems fine to me.
Anyway, yes. I did. And I love it. Top heavy + layers was never for me...I like to get my hands dirty with a couple of ballers as my team, as opposed to unnecessary, inefficient hierarchy.
If you’re a VP of literally anything you should understand the difference.
I have such a bad sense of direction so I’ll never remember this horizontal vertical thing
Damn VP but you were being so helpful
