Just read your job contract fine print. I scoured mine before doing any freelance. No company is going to want you to be taking on other work, in an ideal world.

Did u need to clear this with your team explicitly?
I did this years ago before finally quitting the corporate job to open a small consultancy. It is a lot of hours most of the time. Definitely make sure there is no conflict of interest with your current job. Another big consideration is benefits. Is your current job providing good health/dental/retirement benefits? Going out on your own eventually means that all falls on you.
Make sure your contract is tight. Get a lawyer’s help on constructing yours.
While it may not be legally required, it's generally a good idea to be transparent with your employer about your side consulting activities, especially if there's any potential for conflict of interest. Just so you don't end up doing something against their rules.

I've done this myself. My corporate jobs are on a "need to know basis" and they don't need to know what I do on my personal time. I just make sure it's above board and no conflicts, as in my corporate job is as far removed from Salesforce as possible (cybersecurity). And if someone were to ask me directly, I would never lie about it.
Are you looking for assistance with drafting your own contracts for the services that you provide? I'm not sure I understand your question fully
Thank you for your feedback! Yes, properly setting up contracts or reviewing those that’s be offered by other employers. Someone earlier mentioned getting help from a lawyer, and I’d agree that’s the best way to go about it.
