Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?

What state do you live in? Below executive level (e.g. Partner) in 39 of them non competes are not enforceable. They can hold you up for using IP that is theirs or calling on clients (yours or the firms) but not working in your chosen field.
That said EY managers usually come over here as SC not as managers
Virginia, and this is a right to work state it is not enforceable
Should be fine and generally no issues at your level. Do not take any physical firm IP with you upon leaving. Learning and experiences stay with you. No one is going to stop or sue you if you work at the same client at a competing firm. Just use good judgement and keep client work confidential. Use good judgement on non compete and non solicitation; and they are often not enforceble or too expensive to litigite outside of the exec or partner level.
Thank you!
If they ever come after you you can argue you signed under duress ( fear of losing the promotion or worse your job). It was a mistake on their part not making you sign it with the promotion package.
Interesting. Don't know if it'll fly but good idea. Thanks!
