What is a good salary for a director in NY?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Same happened to me the job said anywhere from 29 to 35 hr. Well I have about 8 or 9 years in maintenance so I'm not just a rookie starting out. I asked for 32 when they said it was too high and rejected me, no negotiations lol
Right exactly brother, I agree. The recruiter will tell you one thing, and then you go for your interview they tell you another. I went for a job interview today. The recruiter said the pay was anywhere from 37+ depending on experience. In the interview they said you start out at 37, so he was wrong by telling me that. I've noticed it a lot with these recruiters. Right, just screw it all and let the robots take our jobs already. 😂
