Has anyone gone from accounting to recruiting? How did it go? I’ve been in the industry for almost 6 years (ex Big 4, now in corp accounting) and I think I’m just not interested in it anymore. I need engagement with people- I enjoy helping someone achieve something. Thinking either accounting/finance recruiting or accounting SaaS consult/implementation. Thoughts?

I was at a similar crossroads to you and went the consulting/implementation firm route instead of recruiting, just because from what I've seen, recruiting salaries don't really keep up sadly with regular firm practices

Super simple, but I went from KPMG Risk Advisory to my current firm's Risk Advisory practice, so it was a 1:1 move for me work-wise! If you're interested in swapping fields (like from audit to Accounting Advisory or Deals), it may be a slightly tougher change as you'll need to learn those new skills.

I work in finance ops and feel like I get a bit of what you’re looking for, definitely more so than i did when I was in accounting.

Seeking for advice on career path from all pros in this bowl. Master degree in SCM and Business analytics. I have two years of data analysis and visualization experience in procurement. Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.
