You should have been able to get it dismissed when it happened by taking drivers ed. Otherwise you have 1 point fall off for every year you don’t get another ticket/have an accident. So for just a small ticket it should be off in 2 years (2 points for one ticket, more if you keep getting tickets before 2 years has passed).
You can do a defensive driving course + pay the fine, or the other option is I’ve used OffTheRecord.com and paid a flat fee for one of their attorneys to go to traffic court and get it either dismissed or reduced to something even more minor. Mine got reduced to like a parking ticket or something, provided I still paid the fine. So I paid the $150 or so for the ticket itself, and like $65 to OTR, and it kept it off my record.
You’re welcome!
Much depends on state law. All states are different. If it’s in your record it stays until the time stature expires.
U not crazy. I’m sure it is Texas but just stating a general that cover all states. Tickets are just hard to get off without paying a price.
