Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Sometimes you’ll get really BS ‘stump the chump interviews’ where the person will ask things like - “oh, in Microsoft project if I wanted to do this, how would I do it.” Or - “blah blah blah - what project mgmt principle or step did I just say?”
Which is of course stupid
I think common questions would be how to track x, how to get back on track, how do you mg stakeholders and stuff like that
The stakeholder management is a good call.
Oftentimes you’ll be PMing a cross functional team of folks who have varying degrees of competence, motivation, and bandwidth.
Being able to get the team across the finish line and adequately hand off the project with stakeholders being satisfied is a huge skill that’s more scarce than you’d think.
