Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

So I went from agency account management to sales role here. Critical differences in compensation: lower base salary but you’re on a sales plan (read bonused based on kpis achieved quarterly). Plus stock and other comp things that seem to surpass what I experienced agency side. Career progression is very much dependent on the org you are in and what paths look like. Our roles have level numbers so you can go up in level (which affects your comp) or into a different role (sometimes this is accompanied by level change). Titles here are weird and all sound more junior than they are - and you could have that title a while even if you level up. If you have other questions I’m happy to try to respond. I’ve found there are things I preferred about Agency side and things I prefer tech side.
@Analyst 1 so for me I love advertising because I love the problems it holds. Understanding the client business objectives or brand gaps, and partnering with a team to solve those. One thing i found platform side in sales is that you are sometimes one step removed from the problem. When you work with clients it’s one thing, but if you are working with a media agency or creative agency you’re not “on the team” so you’re often held at arms length. That was a challenge for someone that likes to really dig in. I think for analysts that might be different - primarily because the data sets you have access to here are so vast, that I hypothesize you may actually get closer to the problems or challenges. Hope that makes sense.
More context: I’ve looked at roles that require no years of experience, but Glassdoor salaries range much less to much more than current salary (prob due to it being sales). Others in CSM-like roles on LinkedIn look like they stay in the same role for 3-4 years which would be a crazy difference from agency hierarchy
